About the Foundation
In 2016 The Clarkston Player’s Association was founded with the mission of funding Pay-to Participate fees for football players at Clarkston High School in Clarkston, Michigan. The founding members were on Clarkston’s two-time State Championship Football team and knew first hand the positive effects of athletic participation including improved health, grades, social connections and self-esteem, and hoped to have future young athletes benefit from these same effects.
In March 2020, after the sudden passing of founding member Matt Boczar, the board resolved to change the name to The Matt Boczar Foundation, carrying on his selfless spirit of helping those in need. The mission was also expanded at that time to give funding assistance to any athlete in the Clarkston community, regardless of gender or sport played.
With the help of teachers, coaches and social workers, along with CCS's partnership with Clarkston Area Youth Assistance (CAYA), we have given multiple athletes, both male and female, at all different grade levels, the opportunity to participate in flag football, football, golf, baseball, dance, cross country, wrestling and hockey when they otherwise would not have the means to do so.

Together, we can work towards funding all students needing assistance in order to play on Clarkston's sports teams and provide them with the necessary equipment to keep them safe.
The Matt Boczar Foundation is a certified 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization registered in Michigan. Any monetary donation made to the foundation is a tax- deductible contribution by law. Please keep a copy of your donation for your tax records.

You are invited to join us at Parker's Hilltop Brewery for our 6th annual Euchre Tournament on January 30th at 5:30pm! Doors open for social hour at 5:30 pm with tournament play starting at 6:30. Each ticket provides admission and participation for one player. Appetizers provided, additional food and drink available for purchase. Tournament is limited to 64 total participants. Winning Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Rake in the Cash and Super Bowl Squares will be available. Don't know how to play? Come anyway--enjoy food & beverage, and fun people!
Join us in the beautiful Patio Room at Uptown Grille for Boczar Bash! This year we are elevating our game in honor of Matt's 30th Birthday by throwing an authentic Derby Party! Wear your fanciest Derby Outfit/hat and join us to watch the 153rd running of the Kentucky Derby, take part in our Derby Squares competition, fantastic raffle packages, complimentary food, and more! Drinks available for purchase at Uptown's full bar. NEW THIS YEAR--EALIER START TIME AND CHILDREN ARE WELCOME! WE WILL HAVE FUN ACTIVITES FOR THEM! No entry fee required but please register sby April 16 so we can ensure enough food is available!
